This time, the Venus whale hack had a Happy Ending. The collateral stolen by the hacker was forcibly liquidated by Venus and transferred to the victim, worth approximately 11 million USDT. It's currently stored in a safe multisig wallet.
The hacker (likely from North Korea) lost 3 million USDT in this incident, mainly in $BTC and $XRP, which were used to initiate the theft of the collateral. A world where only the hacker gets hurt has been achieved!
The victim's computer was infected with malware due to a phishing scam based on a Zoom meeting. This scam is a classic—everyone, please avoid casually opening links and files from social media or chat tools!
Hope everyone can recover their stolen assets!
