I do worry about the state of the UK and I think what we are missing is a leader to step forward, stop playing games and just have an honest conversation with the public.
This means being honest about the state of the finances. We have growing debt, more inflation and stagnant growth (not to mention the unfunded liabilities). We as a nation have a spending problem. We need to be honest about this, we can't afford to live like this anymore, we are broke.
We need to be honest about crime. Many of our towns are falling apart, police can’t follow up on everything, petty crime goes unpunished and this just mades people angry. Why? Why can't we have more police doing police work. Just be honest.
We need to be honest about immigration. What works, what doesn’t, the costs, stop being ideological, what is right for the country.
We need an honest conversation about energy. Our energy costs are just too high and it is crushing families and businesses. If we can get energy prices down it will boost the economy.
This is on every leader of every party, stop lying, stop blaming everyone else, be honest. I think the people of the UK will respect it.(Peter McCormack 🏴☠️🇬🇧🇮🇪)
