House and Senate return tomorrow facing a Sept. 30th gov't funding shutdown deadline, but no 2026 spending bills will be considered this week. Both chambers will work on their NDAA defense programs and policy bills. Members will also consider legislation to improve health care access for airline pilots and increase penalties on illegal reentry to the U.S. after being deported.
