Just saw a foreign buddy lose nearly 1 million again, all because of joining a video conference. Even though he said he didn’t click on anything, he smoothly attended two calls.
It seems like video conferences have now become high-risk events. Dov’s case is a classic example that @宽哥 and @Tintinx2021 encountered before—it’s probably the work of a team.
Suggestions:
✅ Either use a clean computer/phone (one without crypto wallets) specifically for video conferences
✅ Or be the host of the video conference instead of just a participant
✅ Or throw the meeting link someone sends you into GPT first and let it analyze whether it’s safe
Be safe. Keep in mind that if you’re targeted by professional hackers, especially from North Korea, the chances of recovering your losses are actually very slim.
