[EasyJet Founder Plans to Significantly Reduce Cryptocurrency Trading Fees with New Platform EasyBitcoin] According to Bloomberg, EasyJet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou is aiming to significantly cut fees in the emerging industry of cryptocurrency trading. His company, EasyGroup Ltd, will launch EasyBitcoin this month after signing a brand licensing agreement with the regulated trading platform Uphold. He stated that EasyGroup will provide marketing funds. EasyBitcoin is the latest venture under the "easy" brand by the Monaco-based entrepreneur, whose business portfolio spans gyms, hotels, storage, coffee shops, and even pet travel. The first "easy" brand business was EasyJet, which he founded in 1995, inspired by Southwest Airlines in the United States. In 2010, he resigned from the board in protest of EasyJet's strategy, though his family remains the largest shareholder of the company, holding a 15% stake to this day.
