[PredictIt Approved by CFTC, Set to Launch Prediction Market Exchange] According to a report by Jinse Finance, PredictIt, originally an academic platform focused on political predictions, is preparing to launch a new exchange after receiving approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Washington, D.C.-based company Aristotle, which operates PredictIt, stated last week that the CFTC has approved its application to operate as a "Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO)." In a press release last week, the company said: "With these approvals, Aristotle will launch a new exchange aimed at providing U.S. traders with more diverse markets, deeper liquidity, and broader participation." The company plans to expand its business beyond political markets but has not yet provided specific details on the types of markets it will introduce. A spokesperson for Aristotle stated: "Market offerings will expand like other DCMs," referring to other regulated prediction markets such as Kalshi. "We do not currently intend to disclose additional specific details."
