I welcomed Ambassador Marie-Antoinette Rose Quatre and the African Peer Review Mechanism delegation, and I am pleased to announce that Uganda will chair the African Peer Review Forum in February 2026. This role offers a chance to lead in shaping governance and development. The APRM is crucial for African leaders to share ideas and learn from each other. In February, we will address key issues like market integration. Without guaranteed markets, our businesses struggle. We must also shift from exporting raw materials to processing them, which retains value and creates jobs. Our competitiveness relies on reducing production costs, including transport, electricity, and bank credit.(Yoweri K Museveni)
