American Express Launches Blockchain Travel Stamp Feature

According to CoinDesk, American Express (AmEx) has introduced Ethereum-based "Travel Stamps" digital stamps in the latest version of its travel app. Users can earn stamps each time they make a purchase with an AmEx card. These stamps are ERC-721 standard NFTs, minted and stored on the Coinbase Base network. They hold no transactional value and currently do not have points or circulation functionality. AmEx stated that this initiative aims to enhance users' travel record experience and may expand to collaborative scenarios in the future. The app also includes several new travel tools and upgraded Centurion Lounge services.
