I was pleased to welcome @SecRubio in Jerusalem today, a great friend of Israel. We spoke about the challenges facing Israel and the region - none more urgent and important than the efforts to bring all the hostages home from the hell of captivity in Gaza. I expressed my thanks to Secretary Rubio for the strong Israel-US friendship, especially as we marked five years today since the historic Abraham Accords were signed under the leadership of @POTUS @realDonaldTrump. It is thanks to these brave agreements that, despite the greatest of challenges, the Middle East can continue on a path to an era of partnership and cooperation. I am grateful to the US and to our Abraham Accords partners in the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdoms of Bahrain and Morocco, and from Jerusalem send a heartfelt message of peace and hope for cooperation and prosperity. It is my deepest hope that we can work together to expand the circle of peace, and that the Abraham Accords can expand and grow even further.(יצחק הרצוג Isaac Herzog)
