Metaplex: August Protocol Revenue Reaches $2.5 Million, Setting a 6-Month High

Metaplex released its August summary on Platform X, reporting protocol revenue of $2.5 million for August, marking a 6-month high. Of this, token metadata revenue accounted for $2 million (80%), Genesis revenue $422,000 (17%), and core business revenue $71,000 (3%). Genesis revenue saw a 3.4x month-over-month increase, primarily driven by the CARDS and PORTALS projects. In August, Metaplex spent $1.1 million to repurchase 6.7 million MPLX tokens (0.7% of total supply). Additionally, it launched the Genesis Partner Network in collaboration with ecosystem partners.
