The future AI payment network needs to address three core issues:
1. How to ensure the secure payment of AI agents
2. How to make content creators earn income when AI agents reference content
3. How to establish a trustworthy and privacy preserving identity system
This is what payment needs to do in the era of AI+crypto
I checked the Google AP2 protocol and it mentioned that in order to provide security and trust for various payments such as stablecoins and cryptocurrencies, and to accelerate support for the web3 ecosystem, two partner technologies were used. One is the A2A x402 extension led by Coinbase, and the other is a commercial payment solution led by Mysten Labs (Sui development team) using Fast Programmable Trading Blocks (PTBs).
A2A x402 solves several key issues in AI payments and greatly improves usability.
1. AI Agent Payment Channel: Providing AI intelligent agents with the ability to "spend money". Allow agents to conduct secure and programmable transactions in cryptocurrency (especially stablecoins), thereby achieving automated economic activities.
2. Cryptocurrency and stablecoin integration: Cryptocurrency can be used in the AP2 protocol, providing developers with a ready-made solution to integrate stablecoin payment functionality into agent-based applications.
3. Micro payment and service payment: similar to secret free payment, subscription payment, and associated payment. For example, an agent can make small, immediate, and trustless payments for a service provided by another agent, such as content access, data queries, or specific task execution.
4. Building a multi-agent collaborative ecosystem: protocols are used to span multiple AI agent systems. It solves the problem of proxy identity authentication and lays the foundation for building a reliable and economically feasible network composed of automated service agents.

Payment between AI agents is no longer an experimental concept, but is gradually becoming a part of developers' actual construction methods. Integrate x402 into AP2 to support stablecoin payments.

Sui not only solves the key issue of A2A x402 protocol, but also integrates the open protocols of web2.
