TBH, GOAT and BOB are the only two Bitcoin L2 projects worth paying attention to before TGE. The reason is simple: they’re the ones actually working on the tech. Both have invested significant development resources and time into engineering BitVM to enable BTC to move freely and securely from the Bitcoin mainnet to Bitcoin L2 without introducing trust assumptions, thereby unlocking BTC’s 'productivity.' However, on the application layer, they’re stuck in a heavy dependency on LST Lego nesting to beautify APY. But the Idle TVL stacked through this operational strategy is unhealthy. Even Eigenlayer, the big brother of the Restaking track, has now shifted its focus from attracting TVL to promoting AI validation AVS. For these two Bitcoin L2s, they also need to find new application scenarios to drive both internal and external ecosystem circulation. Two potential directions to consider: rallying the entire ecosystem to incubate a PerpDEX; or entering the A2A track, proposing a Bitcoin ecosystem x402 protocol to realize Satoshi’s vision—a peer-to-peer electronic cash system.
