Never underestimate anyone who has made money in this market— Making money reflects a person’s overall abilities. If they don’t have what it takes, they wouldn’t be able to earn that money. Investment skills, social skills, bootlicking skills, self-deprecating skills, shamelessness, good luck—why can’t these all count as abilities? And don’t assume that those who seem like they shouldn’t have made money are complete idiots, easy to manipulate, pushovers with bottomless kindness, or naive fools who let others take advantage of them. Because what they can achieve, you can’t. What they can let go of, you won’t.
