Recently, Polymarket launched Polymarket Builders to develop its ecosystem in response to competition from Kalshi. Taking a look at the projects affiliated with Polymarket Builders, many of them are actually focused on third-party proxy trading for Polymarket, such as TG Bots and trading terminals. The business model for proxy trading is quite clear—taking a cut from transactions—and it’s lightweight. These proxy trading projects can be identified through fee addresses or Vault addresses, using methods similar to those for Meme trading terminals. Overall, the proxy trading projects currently live account for less than 1% of Polymarket’s daily trading volume, making them very niche and early-stage. Personally, I think prediction markets are quite different from Meme trading; they don’t demand the same level of speed or responsiveness. So, the core appeal of using these proxy trading Bots/Terminals is still questionable. Among the existing Polymarket proxies, Polycule has the largest share of trading volume. Its token price has been performing well recently, but I don’t quite understand its decision to create its own prediction market instead of continuing to develop within Polymarket. Flipr’s leveraged trading previously captured nearly half of the market share, but it later faced scrutiny for alleged ties to other Rug projects, leading to a wave of heavy sell-offs. Another point worth mentioning is the significant differences in initial fee rates and collection methods among these Polymarket proxy trading projects. For example, Predictify charges only for opening positions, at 0.6%; Polycule charges only for closing/redemption, at 0.5%; okbet is the most expensive, charging 1% for both opening and closing positions, making a complete transaction cost 2%. Stand trade, Betmoar, and Flipr currently don’t charge fees, so the first two cannot yet identify users, while Flipr can only identify trading users through its leverage Vault, which might lead to some non-leveraged trades being missed.
