[Capital Economics: The European Central Bank May Cut Rates Again Next Year]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, declining inflation in the eurozone is likely to lead the European Central Bank (ECB) to cut rates again next year. In recent policy meetings, the ECB has kept its key interest rates unchanged, as the eurozone economy has shown resilience and inflation is largely under control. However, Jack Allen-Reynolds, Deputy Chief Eurozone Economist at Capital Economics, stated that slowing wage growth and falling commodity prices could bring core inflation below 2% next year. With energy prices softening, overall inflation is expected to decline further. This may prompt ECB policymakers to lower borrowing costs. (Jin10)
