Seeing a lot of people say @yieldbasis is BTCfi—completely wrong. This is a pure ETH/EVM ecosystem project, heavily reliant on Curve, with smart contracts written in Vyper language. It has absolutely no connection to the BTC ecosystem and uses BTC mapped on EVM chains like WBTC/cbBTC. In fact, it can support any ERC20 token in the future. BTC (WBTC/cbBTC) is just the first batch of supported tokens because maintaining a coin-denominated position without impermanent loss while earning liquidity provider rewards is YieldBasis's most important innovation.
