Survival is your #1 priority in the space - more important than making money. If you chopped up your portfolio, got bored/lost patience and rage quit (like 90% of retail) - you didn't even put yourself in a position to hit the ASTER trade. Just the act of surviving increases your surface area of "luck". Luck is just probability (more surface area = higher chance of hitting a big winner).
