Although @irys_xyz's $10 million Series A funding was news from August, the community was still buzzing about it in September. CoinFund led the round, saying their goal is to bring the $3 trillion data economy on-chain. Irys has a very clear positioning. It’s not trying to be cold storage like Arweave, but rather programmable data. For example, uploading a dataset can automatically trigger contracts, distribute royalties, and even perform AI verification. So the current testnet growth of 800M+ transactions and 100K TPS is just the appetizer. The real show is the mainnet and TGE. Once they go live, it’s like putting a central bank for data on-chain. In theory, there could be countless applications that need this data to go live. No need to elaborate on how valuable data is these days. Lately, I’ve been focusing on AI projects with big funding, like the one I posted earlier today about @GoKiteAI. Irys and KiteAI are both web3 AI products, but they’re not focused on the same direction. To put it simply: Irys is like the city’s archive + court, ensuring all data is authentic and enforceable. KiteAI is like the city’s central bank + banking network, ensuring all agents can spend, settle, and follow the rules.
