One morning, I opened my eyes and found something off with my exchange balance. No transfers? No records? How did I lose money like this?! I was completely stunned at the time, felt like someone had stolen from me. But after calming down and thinking it through, I realized this time it wasn’t a “hacker” messing with me— I got screwed by “fake data.” In traditional markets, prices are determined by people— Traders watch the charts, call the shots, analyze, and then prices move with emotions. But in the on-chain world, it’s not people in charge; it’s the “price feed algorithms” that call the shots. When the data goes wrong, everything collapses. The “precise price” you think you’re seeing might actually be a few seconds delayed fake market data. The order you place might just hit the wrong price feed. That day, I got completely wrecked by this “fake signal.” It wasn’t until I listened to Episode 3 of *The Order Podcast* that I finally understood the real deal—teams like @OrderlyNetwork and @PythNetwork are actually doing solid work. In the podcast, Pyth’s Head of Ecosystem Markets @PTillement shared a point that stuck with me: “Pyth is bringing real-world price data into DeFi.” It’s already covering 450+ real-time data sources, including stocks, crypto, forex, commodities, etc., with millions of price updates synced on-chain every second. This means that on-chain derivatives, contracts, and lending products no longer rely on a single price source to “guess the price,” but instead tap into the rhythm of real markets in real time. Pyth turns data into the “heartbeat” of the market, while Orderly transforms this real price data into a liquidity system that can actually trade and operate. A system connecting real prices, real trades, and real strategies is slowly taking shape. So now, I never place orders based on fake market data anymore. What I follow is the rhythm of the data, the real fluctuations. The on-chain world isn’t short on opportunities— what it lacks is the pair of eyes that can see the truth. KaitoYap @KaitoAI ORDER
