I’ve said it countless times—if there’s a liquidation, at least there’ll be a rebound.
This morning, I sold the ETH 3500 Put expiring on Monday. If it drops, I’ll take the position; if it doesn’t, I’ll keep selling the 3400–3500 Put for Friday.
This strategy is likely better than spot bottom-fishing:
1. If it consolidates next, I might not get the spot position, and I won’t know how much it’ll rebound.
2. If it keeps crashing, it’s equivalent to buying spot at 3500. Even in an extreme scenario where it drops to 3100, there should still be a rebound. At 3500, there’s at least a chance to break even on the rebound.
