Legislation to reauthorize expired federal cybersecurity information sharing authorities for the next 10 years was fast-tracked to the Senate calendar last week for future floor and votes. The Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act passed the Senate 74-21 in October 2015, but was later included in the December 2015 omnibus spending and tax extenders package, passed and signed into law to avert a government shutdown. The 2015 CISA law expired October 1, 2025. https://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_votes/vote1141/vote_114_1_00291.htm(Craig Caplan)
