Feeling quite emotional about this—when the big drop happened, I was honestly stunned. I sent messages to a few friends who were heavily invested, but without exception, they only replied after 7 AM. Of course, even if they had seen it earlier, the time needed to react, strategize, and place orders might not have been sufficient.
Luckily, these friends were heavily invested in spot positions or had almost no leverage on mainstream assets, so their losses weren’t significant. Seeing what the Node Scientist said, 'The biggest regret is that no one woke me up at 3 AM,' I’m not sure if it’s due to the time difference, but the key period was between 4:50 AM and 5:20 AM.
The core issue was Trump’s announcement at 4:50 AM about tariff sanctions on China. If you realized something was off at that time and responded quickly, completing all operations before 5:10 AM, there was still a chance. Of course, this is all hindsight now.
I think there are two reasons why people couldn’t be woken up. One is that sleep mode was turned on, and the other is that the phone wasn’t placed close enough. The former is probably to avoid disturbances, while the latter is just unavoidable. I tend to stay up late, so I could provide this kind of service, but notifying people one by one would definitely be too slow. Maybe I’ll set up a 4 AM group someday to offer wake-up calls.
