Back in the day, before 2018, there were actually quite a few on CEX. It was the early days of the industry, so the old-timers should remember, but honestly, I haven’t seen it happen in the past few years. I was also a bit puzzled about why the candlestick charts were modified, so I went and checked Binance’s announcement for an explanation. Honestly, no matter how solid the reasoning is, making these changes while people’s psychological wounds are still fresh really underestimates the impact on public sentiment. Although I wasn’t heavily affected during the liquidation, putting myself in the shoes of those who were hurt, I can understand how they feel. Might as well just revert it back, except for a few cases where there are obvious errors (like IOTX showing 0.0000 or something like that)...
