Rootstock Launches 'Rootstock Institutional' to Bring $260 Billion in Institutional Bitcoin Holdings into the DeFi Space

According to a report by Jinse Finance, Rootstock Labs, one of the core developers of Bitcoin's first Layer 2 network, has announced the launch of 'Rootstock Institutional,' aimed at channeling $260 billion in institutional Bitcoin holdings into the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector. The new team will focus on assisting institutions in exploring the yield potential of Bitcoin within the DeFi space. Specifically, institutions can leverage Rootstock (a Bitcoin-based DeFi layer) to utilize Bitcoin for lending, borrowing, and other on-chain yield strategies, thereby generating returns on Bitcoin assets.
