If Coinbase in the U.S. opens up, it’s likely that Upbit’s KRW pair won’t be far behind. There are two implicit points here: 1. Americans can now use BSC. The issue @0xPickleCati mentioned before about Americans not being able to buy BNB has been resolved. When Americans come in and see the BSC trenches, they’ll think, ‘Whoa, isn’t this better than Base?’ 2. BSC projects now have an opening on Coinbase. Previously, many BSC projects created dual versions on ETH just to cater to North America, even though liquidity on ETH was poor. But now, it seems like they won’t need to go through unnecessary hoops anymore. This will have a profound impact on chain selection for project teams. Aside from state-owned enterprises on BSC, it’s time for some decent private companies to step up too.
