Nick and the Cleveland Fed both predict a slight increase in September's CPI. Considering that most countries' tariffs were already implemented in September, this small rise should be relatively normal and unlikely to affect the Fed's rate cut expectations. For the Fed, a one-time inflation spike isn't a big issue; the concern is usually about inflation rebounding continuously.
