Investors will have the option to settle through traditional methods or use digital wallet infrastructure for settlement. Nasdaq is currently collaborating with DTC and plans to offer digital securities trading services on only a few blockchains during the initial phase. Friedman emphasized that in the long term, tokenization is expected to enhance collateral liquidity and reduce systemic risk by shortening settlement cycles.
