**[Ledger Launches Next-Generation Nano Device, Wallet Application, and Institutional Multi-Signature Platform]**
Foresight News reports, according to The Block, that cryptocurrency hardware wallet provider Ledger has unveiled its latest range of security products, including the new Ledger Nano Gen5 device, the redesigned Ledger Wallet application (formerly known as Ledger Live), and an upgraded institutional multi-signature platform. Ledger's hardware wallets will now be rebranded as Ledger Signer.
Nano Gen5 features Bluetooth and NFC connectivity, an electronic ink touchscreen, as well as functionalities like clear signing, transaction verification, and Ledger Recovery Key (a physical "backup key" that allows users to recover their crypto wallet when needed). Tony Fadell, the inventor of the iPod and a member of Ledger's board, collaborated with designer Susan Kare to create personalized icons for the device. Nano Gen5 is now available for purchase at a price of $179.
Ledger has also launched the newly renamed Ledger Wallet application (formerly Ledger Live). The team stated that the app is designed to serve as "an intuitive control center for your digital assets." In addition to buy, sell, trade, and swap services, it supports direct connections with decentralized applications like 1inch and integrates Noah's "cash-to-stablecoin" feature, enabling users to convert fiat currency into USDC without incurring additional fees.
