OpenAI plans to integrate the startup's technology into ChatGPT and absorb its entire team of approximately 12 people. Software Applications previously raised $6.5 million in funding from a group of prominent investors, including OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Figma CEO Dylan Field. Earlier this year, Software Applications launched Sky, an AI assistant designed to help users perform tasks or answer questions. The assistant features a floating interface capable of understanding the content on the user's screen. Sky has not yet been made publicly available.
