[RNS.ID Announcement on Combating Forged Palau IDs and Implementing Secondary Review and Bans] The Republic of Palau Digital Residency Program, RNS.ID, has reported recent cases of forged Palau IDs being used to bypass platform KYC procedures. In response, it will synchronize with the global fraud blacklist and implement secondary reviews. Measures include: providing official APIs to KYC providers and partner platforms to verify document numbers, issuance dates, photos, and birth dates; marking individuals who fail secondary verification as fraudulent and synchronizing the database; permanently banning those found to have forged or misused IDs, with their names, birth dates, and photos added to the global fraud database for automatic identification by institutions; additionally, evidence will be collected and submitted to judicial jurisdictions such as China to pursue criminal liability for forging government-issued documents and committing fraud.
