Zcash is the perfect case study for how narratives emerge and go viral. When ZEC suddenly shows up on your X feed, it feels off. It is an old dinosaur coin no one cared on X until recently. No surprise Lyn Alden warned not to become exit liquidity for coordinated pumps. You probably feel the same. The higher the price goes, the higher the mindshare, and the stronger the frustration. This reflexive loop has two outcomes. You mute the word ZEC on X. Or you give in and buy a small amount just to be part of it. Once you buy, you start rooting for it. You like more ZEC posts, and the algo keeps feeding you more. I went through the same loop myself and now post about it too. If you made it reading this far, your odds of aping in just went up.
