[MetaMask Launches Multi-Chain Accounts] MetaMask announced on the X platform that multi-chain accounts are now live, increasing asset loading speed by 30 times. Initially designed as an Ethereum wallet, MetaMask has now added the following features: native support for Ethereum Layer 2 networks and other EVM-compatible networks; extended wallet functionality through Snap plugins, enabling connections to non-EVM networks. Thanks to architectural improvements, MetaMask can now natively support non-EVM networks like Solana, and networks similar to Bitcoin will also be supported soon.
