We gathered as a united people to take stock of the tremendous progress we are making together across the country and in Nakuru County in building a prosperous and inclusive Kenya. At State House, Nakuru, hosted grassroots leaders from the county for an open and constructive dialogue on our shared journey of transformation and renewal. We reflected on the milestones we have achieved in strengthening our economy, enhancing agricultural production and productivity, expanding our road network, and advancing the dream of affordable housing for all. In Nakuru County alone, we are investing KSh40 billion to build 21,000 affordable houses, KSh3.5 billion to construct 25 modern markets, and KSh2.6 billion to connect 22,000 households to electricity, all practical steps that are transforming lives and communities. In partnership with Afri-Exim Bank, we commit KSh20 billion towards the development of essential infrastructure at the Naivasha Special Economic Zone, opening new frontiers for manufacturing, trade, and industrial growth. Briefed the leaders on the progress of the 230km Rironi-Nakuru-Mau Summit Road, whose construction I will launch soon, a major highway that will revolutionise transport, trade, and connectivity across the region. Our discussions also focused on the immense opportunities that lie ahead as we continue to deliver on our national agenda for shared prosperity and transformation.(William Samoei Ruto, PhD)
