After I left, all my subordinates stayed at OKX, including my intern. One of my former subordinates is now the head of OKX Korea. We’re still great friends after all these years. I even attended his wedding in Korea, where I ran into the global head of overseas regions and other regional heads. Everyone flew in from all over the world to celebrate his wedding. That kind of atmosphere is rare and heartwarming. He often tells me how great Star is, how they’ve had meals together, and how Star checks in on his life. One of the topics was the first principles of BNB—that the entire Binance ecosystem ultimately serves BNB. Many departments listened to that report, and everyone acknowledged the research. We all thought Binance was doing an excellent job in many areas. CZ and Yi Jie are worth learning from and emulating in many ways. Every company has its own values and style. Seeking common ground while respecting differences is what makes the industry more balanced. Hmm, Binance changed my life, but it’s also worth learning more about OKX. Both are amazing companies with amazing leaders.
