After using up Claude Code and Codex, I remembered GitHub had given open-source folks the GitHub Copilot 10 Pro membership. Just as the CLI preview version came out, I decided to give it a try. It totally exceeded expectations—great value for money! It supports the use of Claude Sonnet 4.5 and GPT-5 models, and honestly, it’s way better than the extended Copilot. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for cost-effective options!
