Bitcoin has no owner, but some shady folks just had to create something like a Bitcoin community, yelling about forking and upgrading Bitcoin so that Turing-complete native BTC smart contracts could be implemented on the BTC chain—provided OP_CAT is enabled. First of all, enabling OP_CAT is impossible. If it were enabled, it would cause data overflow. Even if it were implemented using SegWit, what’s the point of making BTC Turing-complete? From the perspective of EVM, how is this better than ETH or other smart contract chains?
