Discuss the overlooked role of "water delivery workers" in the x402 race track: Provider (with project interpretation attached) The job functions of the facilitator role are clear to everyone. If we compare the x402 race track to a highway, then the facilitator is the toll station, and the provider is the infrastructure team building roads and bridges. What exactly is a provider? Simply put, Provider is the "supporting service provider" of the x402 ecosystem. An Agent needs to deploy an environment, LLM interface, payment gateway, and other essential basic services before initiating on chain payments, all of which are provided by Provider. Listen, the definition of Provider is very broad, covering almost all roles in the x402 ecosystem. For example, Client Side Integrations (wallet plugins, SDK tools); Services/Endpoints (API services, Agent marketplace); Infrastructure&Tooling (RPC nodes, indexing services) can actually be uniformly classified into the Provider category. If the x402 track has a ceiling, it must not be a facilitator, but a provider that almost includes the entire technology stack. The reason why the market cannot see Providers is because they do not directly generate on chain transactions, resulting in an absurd phenomenon: the market crazily pursues the tokens of Facilitators, but ignores the Provider ecosystem that truly supports the operation of the entire system. The value of a provider lies in: 1) To build an engineering capability moat for x402, providers need to understand the real needs of agents, continuously optimize product experiences, build network effects, and even support developer ecosystems. In other words, they need to be friends with time; 2) Mastering pricing power, once the number of agents requesting payment explodes in the future, standardized infrastructure services and aggregated marketplaces provided by providers will become highly sought after. Rent collection can be achieved through user stickiness, transaction routing can be used to extract transaction fees, and the business model has room for imagination; 3) The scenario based penetration of vertical providers is naturally a universal provider at the beginning, but once Agent Pay needs to be refined and implemented in vertical scenarios such as gaming, social networking, DeFi, and Launchpad, it needs to define rules and standards that focus more on adaptation and expand business logic. Alright, I'm sure many friends are impatient. Are there any Provider projects worth paying attention to? I would like to share a few (not entirely recommended, DYOR): 1. @ questflow: As a pioneer in the Provider track, it has integrated 650W seed rounds. In addition to functions such as Agent deployment coordination, it also defines derivative ecological standards by building an Agent Marketplace, making it the official player in the Agent Pay native track; 2. @ AEON-Community: It mainly provides convenient deployment of agents and payment integration services, integrating multi chain payment capabilities. In addition, it has developed many end-to-end payment tools for retail users, covering terminal retail channels in many small countries; 3. @ daydreamsAgents: Recently, I have seen many friends sharing because it is a project called Dreams that is still alive in the last wave of AI agent coin issuance. It provides a series of development friendly toolkits, defines a series of development standards, and subsidizes developer innovation; 4. @ agiledodark: The information is not sufficient yet, but it seems that a provider similar to DeFi programmability and innovative Launchpad is being developed, which proposes a "Pay to x" proxy contract layer programmable extension and has been widely discussed by the community. Why wasn't @ virtualis_io mentioned? Of course, not everyone knows Note: The above projects do not provide investment advice. Some have issued coins, some have not yet been issued, and some regular military projects are also difficult to issue in the short term. You can lock in and follow project updates. For more similar projects, please add recommendations in my comment section ⬇️, Thank you, follow me and I will guide you to systematically understand the x402 track 。
