We began the day with a rally in Ngora District where I reminded the people how far we have come, from the painful accident of Mukura and life in refugee camps to the peace and stability we enjoy today. We are now addressing the remaining social needs by building new Health Centre IIIs in Ngora, Agirigiroi and Morukakise, as well as staff houses at Mukura Health Centre III. Government is also constructing a solar powered water supply system in Olilim and the Lake Kyoga multi purpose gravity flow scheme to serve four districts in Teso, including Ngora. In addition, UGX 1.7 billion has been invested in Emyooga SACCOs to help households fight poverty. The NRM has shown the way. Poverty is personal, development is for government.
