I'm with @SmokeyTheBera on this. I think the Berachain emergency fork was the right thing to do because: 1. How integrated and crucial their Balancer forks were to their ecosystem. Somewhat similar to The DAO incident on Ethereum in the early days. 2. How early it is and how this would have caused big, maybe unrecoverable loss to their ecosystem (similar to the DAO). 3. They never claimed the same level of decentralization and liveness that Ethereum has. Pragmatism wins. Blockchains will all eventually interconnect and have different levels of permissioned-ness and liveness guarantees etc. Ethereum will be the gold star of decentralization and liveness, but not every chain needs that to interact with other chains in harmony.(Hudson Jameson)
