The past couple of days, I’ve been watching some old coins suddenly pump a bit, and I couldn’t help but get nostalgic. I started flipping through my old purchase records, and man, those so-called ‘king-tier’ altcoins I bought back in the day have all tanked to nothing now… Looking through my old exchange records, I saw a bunch of coins I once held, hyped up, or even went all-in on. Many of them were the top players in their niche back then, with people shouting their names like crazy. But now? Their prices have hit rock bottom, and even their discussion forums are completely dead. Some coins just quietly die off. No announcements, no explanations—like they never even existed. All that’s left are some old-school bag holders still asking in group chats: “Is it gonna pump soon? Should I buy more to average down?” I get that feeling. What if it suddenly moons one day? I’ve told myself that so many times before. But now I’m clear-headed: If they really wanted to pump it, would they let the price crash this hard? If they had the ability to market-make, would they just sit back, not defend the price, not stir up hype, not even bother with proper updates? Let’s be real—most project teams moved on ages ago. Launching a new coin in crypto nowadays is easier than posting on social media. Why wouldn’t they just create something new, trendy, and rake in another wave of money from gullible investors? Why bother reviving some old relic? While you’re still holding on, waiting to break even, they’ve probably already upgraded their car, bought a new house, and moved to a different country. Not saying every coin is like this, but most… yeah, they really are. Don’t try to build emotional connections with project teams—they only care about your money. Meanwhile, we keep trying to convince ourselves otherwise. So, if you’re still holding onto a coin that’s dropped over 90%, ask yourself this: If you weren’t already stuck with it, and someone gave it to you for free, would you even want it? If the answer is no, then what you’re rejecting isn’t the coin—it’s your past self. Let go of the obsession. Look at the market from a different perspective. Opportunities are always in the new narratives, not in the old ruins. —Feng Huo Shan Lin!
