[Analyst: The Economic Impact of This U.S. Government Shutdown Exceeds That of the 2018-19 Shutdown] According to a report by Golden Finance, a brief analysis by Anderson Economic Group LLC indicates that the economic impact of this historically longest U.S. government shutdown will significantly exceed that of the 2018-2019 shutdown. Its full effects have yet to be fully revealed. The company's founder and CEO, Patrick Anderson, stated: 'We won't see official government statistics for at least a month, but the private sector data we currently have shows that the impact of the 2025 shutdown is more severe than the previous shutdown that ended in January 2019.' The company noted that beer and automobile sales both declined in October. Automobile sales dropped by 4% compared to September, while beer sales fell by 6%. Anderson added: 'When beer sales decline, you know things are not looking good.'
