[ByteDance Valuation Reportedly Rises to $480 Billion] According to a report by Golden Finance, Bloomberg cited sources familiar with the matter revealing that a Chinese venture capital firm has acquired a portion of ByteDance's equity, valuing ByteDance at $480 billion. It is reported that the venture capital firm, Today Capital, outbid several interested companies to acquire shares from ByteDance's early institutional investor, Zhongyin Group. Initially, these shares were priced at approximately $200 million, corresponding to a valuation of around $360 billion for ByteDance. However, with as many as seven institutions participating in the bidding, the price quickly surged. Ultimately, Today Capital, led by China's venture capital queen Xu Xin, purchased the shares for nearly $300 million, valuing the company at close to $500 billion.
