[Trump Administration Blocks Musk from Testifying in 'USAID Dissolution' Case] November 25 – According to foreign media reports, the Trump administration is making every effort to resist attempts by government employees and contractors to compel Elon Musk to testify in court. The lawsuit accuses Musk of illegally orchestrating the dissolution of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) while serving as a senior presidential advisor and leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). According to the latest court documents, the Department of Justice has requested a federal judge in Maryland to block the deposition of Musk and two former senior officials of USAID. As part of Trump's plan to downsize the government through mass layoffs, funding cuts, and agency eliminations, USAID was dismantled earlier this year. USAID employees accuse Musk of unconstitutionally exercising high-level government powers that should have been reserved for Senate-confirmed officials. They also allege that Musk and other executive branch officials violated the constitutional principle of separation of powers by shutting down this foreign aid agency established by Congress.
