Over the past year, staking on Starknet has been a major success, with: - 1.1B+ STRK staked, representing over 23% of the circulating supply - BTC staking integrated into the protocol To support this momentum and strengthen Starknet’s validator set, we launched our own delegation program in June 2025. This program has notably helped bring new operators online and deepened alignment with long-term validators. But the network has evolved since we launched it: the validator set has expanded, the delegator base has grown, the staking pool has become larger and stronger, and with Staking v3 (expected around late 2026), validators will take on even more responsibility. To continue supporting long-term network strength, we believe StarkWare’s delegation should evolve with it. We have published a new proposal for how StarkWare should delegate during the next phase of staking, outlining several options, including a two-track model for both established and emerging validators.
