I’ve noticed that many people misunderstand @Lighter_xyz’s approach to dealing with sybil attacks. Sure, there are cases where large-scale farms end up with zero retention after farming. But… What if you had clearly stated in advance that sybil attacks would be strictly monitored? What if you had explicitly outlined the criteria for identifying sybil behavior? You can’t just be vague when you need the data, letting everyone farm like crazy, and then, after they’ve paid the gas fees and it’s almost time to distribute tokens, suddenly announce that sybil behavior isn’t allowed. Isn’t that a bit hypocritical? People don’t hate sybil prevention; they hate project teams that don’t keep their word. Especially when you’re essentially a casino. If today you can use your “final interpretation rights” to label a bunch of accounts as sybil, then tomorrow you could ban accounts for “violating profit rules” and roll back the data. Like I said before, If it weren’t for the fact that you’re a DEX and supposedly “decentralized,” why would I give up a CEX with better liquidity to trade on your platform?
