Novices die from chasing high, while veterans die from bottom fishing
After the previous sharp decline in the market, there seemed to be signs of stabilization, so they took action to "buy the bottom" a portion of SOL.
I haven't seen the specific price, but one thing that left a deep impression was that at that time, 10000 U could buy about 70 SOLs.
I just opened Binance and entered 10000 U again, only to find that I can now buy 81 coins.
Obviously, the bottom fishing failed and was successfully copied halfway up the mountain.
I couldn't help but recall the opening sentence in my mind:
Novices die from chasing high, while veterans die from bottom fishing.
The last time I had a deep impression of this sentence (and even felt the pain) was in the A-share market of the previous cycle (2007).
At that time, it fell from the historical high of 6124, thinking that it would soon regain lost ground and create new glory.
What was the result? It can only indicate one's ignorance and recklessness. All the profits earned in the early stage were returned to the market, and at the same time, a large amount of principal was lost.
It doesn't matter if you lose money, what's important is to have a good memory. You can't fall into the same river repeatedly, can you?
psychological mechanism
Why do beginners love to chase high?
Due to FOMO, fear of missing out, and greed, high positions are trapped.
The problem with beginners is that they are always driven by emotions and are prone to getting overwhelmed;
Why do "veterans" like to bargain?
Because of EGO. Feeling that I am no longer a new leek, blindly believing in my own judgment, and ultimately dying from the trend of confrontation.
The problem with veterans is that they are bound by past experience and cannot break out of the vicious cycle of insufficient cognition.
In fact, this also reflects a problem: the so-called "veterans" are just "old leeks" who have been in the market for a long time.
There is still a long way to go before evolving into true Smart Money.
Doing something for a long time does not necessarily mean significant progress in one's level. Believe it or not, objectively evaluate whether the home cooked dishes made by parents have reached the level of a fly restaurant on the street.
To put it bluntly, my parents are also "old chefs" who have been cooking for decades.
Let go of my obsession, respect the market, and learn to 'follow the trend'.
