A few key reminders: 🔸 Legendary Sneakers cannot be minted or enhanced yet 🔸 For now, they can only be obtained through special releases like this 🔸 Minting and Enhancement will come later, once the ecosystem is ready Looking ahead, the team also confirmed: 🔸 More Legendary Sneakers will be released via airdrops to more players 🔸 Details will be shared soon 🏃🏻‍♂️ #STEPNathon We’ve reached the final week of the Marathon Challenge, and Season 1 is officially coming to a close. Some numbers from the season: 🔹 Over 10,000 participations (!!) 🔹 Players forming groups, encouraging each other, and sticking with the challenge across 12 weeks 🔹The Marathon Challenge will continue running and generating APY until Season 2 officially launches. 🔹 You’ll keep earning rewards in the meantime. 🔹 And when Season 2 begins, a new Season Pass will be available Now comes the Grand Finale: #STEPNathon: 🔹 Runs from January 19 (00:00 UTC) to January 25 (23:59 UTC) 🔹 Complete one single session of: 21 km or 42 km 🔹 Can be completed in STEPN or STEPN GO 🔹 Requires an active Season Pass and completing the full distance in one session during the event week 🔹 Rewards include special badges and backgrounds, and an entry to an exclusive Genesis Sneaker raffle (more details on the announcement post) Twelve weeks of consistency now come down to one final run, but whatever distance you choose, making it here is already a win. 💪 One last important note before we move on: 🧐 2025 Retrospective 2025 was a full year: 🔹 IRL events across the world, from Tokyo to Paris to Dubai 🔹 Major partnerships with names like @Argentina, @Pantone, @Ubisoft, and @Lamborghini 🔹 Product milestones including Leaderboards, STEPN GO Uncommon Sneakers, new badges, Marathon Challenge, Genesis Buyback & Burn & Legendary Sneakers Through highs and tougher moments, the team kept building, and the community kept showing up. Key priorities shared by the team: 🔹 Full focus on STEPN and STEPN GO, with the entire team aligned 🔹 Active development of the next STEPN GO feature 🔹 Continued work on Legendary systems, including future Minting and Enhancement 🔹 Preparation for Season 2 of the Marathon Challenge, using feedback from Season 1 🔹 Ongoing exploration of new ideas, to be shared when ready (stay patient) Still building, as always! 🙋‍♂️ Community Questions Q: You said you’ve decided to focus on STEPN and STEPN GO. Has there been any progress with that? A: Yes. The team has explored a range of things, from new functionality to cosmetic changes. Yawn also shared that he’s working with the design team on exploring new token mechanisms. Q: When will the Genesis Sneakers buyback happen? A: It has already started. The transparency log in the whitepaper has been updated and will continue to reflect the progress. Q: What is the goal of STEPN and STEPN GO this year, and is there a timeline? A: For STEPN, the focus is on adding events and encouraging lifestyle changes. For STEPN GO, the team is continuing to move forward with the planned roadmap. Q: Can you give us more information about the GMT Halving? A: The whitepaper has been updated under the GMT earning section.
