[Data: India's holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds have fallen to a five-year low, down to $174 billion]
According to a report by Golden Finance citing U.S. government data, India's holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds have dropped to a five-year low, down to $174 billion, a 26% decrease from the peak in 2023. Data from the Reserve Bank of India shows that U.S. Treasury bonds currently account for one-third of the country's foreign exchange reserves, compared to 40% a year ago. (Jin10)
