[Notion Completes $270 Million Private Equity Tender Offer, Valued at $11 Billion]
According to the official blog, productivity application Notion recently announced the completion of a private equity tender offer totaling approximately $270 million, with a transaction valuation of $11 billion. The new investment was led by Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC, alongside existing investors Sequoia Capital and Index Ventures, who collectively purchased shares directly from current and former employees of the company.
The company stated that this acquisition aims to provide financial liquidity for employees to support their long-term development and life planning. To this end, the company specifically removed the one-year vesting period for employee options, allowing nearly all employees to participate.
Notion experienced accelerated growth in 2025 due to the adoption of AI features, with over 50% of its annual recurring revenue by year-end coming from AI-related customers, a figure that doubled over the past year. The company recently opened an office in Singapore to support its rapid growth in the Asia-Pacific region.
