[US CFTC Chairman: Has Requested CFTC Staff to Draft Rulemaking Documents on Prediction Markets] According to a report by Jinse Finance, Michael Selig, Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), stated that he has requested CFTC staff to draft rulemaking documents related to prediction markets. Selig said, 'For a long time, the existing CFTC framework has proven difficult to implement and has failed to protect the interests of market participants. I intend to address this issue by establishing clear event contract standards, thereby providing certainty for market participants.'
